Did you know women are more likely than men to seek help, and they are more likely to take the appropriate measures to prevent health problems?
Did you know men are more likely than women to put off well visits or ignore, and even brush off, signs/symptoms of a problem?
Men, don’t let your pride and disinterest in asking for help get in the way of you being your best self. When you put off taking care of your health, you may have no idea if you are building health or growing disease. Remember the silent killers—heart disease and stroke—have been developing in the body for decades often without signs/symptoms until they’re a serious problem. Subluxation (misalignment of vertebrae and the corresponding nerve interference) is another underlying, silent problem that affects the proper function of your nervous system. Your nervous system controls and coordinates ALL the functions of your body, including: muscle contractions, heart rate, blood pressure, digestion, breathing, temperature regulation, immune function, and much more. Like heart attack and stroke, there is usually a length of time before noticeable signs/symptoms manifest. If you are ignoring your spine and nervous system, you are likely growing disease without even being aware of it. SIMPLY PUT, THE LACK OF SYMPTOMS DOES NOT PAINT A TRUE PICTURE OF ONE’S HEALTH.
Men, in honor of Father’s Day, take pride in yourself and your health! GET YOURSELF CHECKED! Get your spine and nervous system checked. Get your blood pressure checked. Get your blood work checked. Get your eating, exercising, and sleeping habits in check. Your children need you, and the best way to be there—physically, mentally, and emotionally—for them is for you to be healthy.
Happy Father’s Day!
